Product Description

MF Emulsifier COSMOS is a plant-based emulsifying ingredient that creates oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions with long-term stability. It is not a stand-alone emulsifier but is designed to be used with VE Emulsifier and Cetearyl Alcohol. When used correctly, it produces creams and lotions that feel smooth on the skin and are robust in structure.

This creamy white powder has a faint odour and is made by combining non-dairy lactic acid with stearic acid. The lactic acid is derived via bacterial fermentation of carbohydrates from sources like cornstarch, potatoes, or molasses, so is a fully plant-derived ingredient. The resulting emulsifier is non-GMO, not tested on animals, and vegan-friendly. MF Emulsifier COSMOS is a natural emulsifier for cosmetics and personal care formulations. it creates stable emulsions, creamy emulsions, and thick emulsions. As an anionic emulsifier with high electrolyte tolerance, it can be blended with a wide range of oils, including vegetable oils and esters. It works by combining oil-loving and water-loving components to form a stable blend or mix, resulting in emulsions that feel like milk.

The emulsifier is white flakes and is compatible with other emulsifiers such as cetearyl glucoside, Cetearyl olivate, sorbitan olivate, glyceryl stearate cetearyl alcohol, stearate cetearyl alcohol sodium, cetearyl alcohol sodium stearoyl, fatty alcohols, and acyl lactylates. Proper usage rates are important to achieve optimal stability and texture in any formula and are for external use only. Heat is required during the emulsification process to get a uniform emulsion. MF Emulsifier COSMOS is also suitable for haircare and serum formulations, not just creams and lotions and delivers reliable performance.

This version of MF Emulsifier is currently listed on our COSMOS approved ACS Schedule for non organic ingredients. This means that it is approved for use in COSMOS certified products. It is 100% plant based Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate. It is non GMO and the country of origin is Malaysia or Indonesia for the Palm Kernel Oil and the EU (Denmark) for the Rapeseed Oil. It has not been tested on animals and is suitable for Vegans.
